Poppies

Spring seems to finally have sprung in the Bay Area, and riots of California poppies are popping up (get it?) all over the place!  Corny humor aside, poppies are one of my favorite flowers.  I love the bright, vibrant colors and simplicity of their blooms.  They seem to announce to the world that winter is done, and warm, sunny days have arrived, and I have to say, after weeks of rain, I'm really ready for some warm, sunny days!
