Hummingbirds

As a little girl growing up in Michigan, I always loved hummingbirds.  Outside my childhood bedroom window, we had rhododendrons and flowerbeds, and every summer I would watch the tiny birds flit around effortlessly.  These days, hummingbirds still fascinate me, and while we see a lot of them every year now, I was overjoyed to find that one is nesting in the tree outside my office window. Since my office is on the second floor, I have an eye-level view into the foliage, and have been watching Mother Hummingbird build her nest for the last couple days.  I can't wait to see the little ones this spring!
